Your data stays on your device. WeightGlide stores your weigh-ins, settings, and goal history locally on your iPhone. The app has no servers, no accounts, and makes no network requests of its own. Nothing leaves the phone unless you export it and send it yourself.
- Apple Health. If you enable Health sync, WeightGlide reads and writes weight samples through Apple's HealthKit, strictly with the permissions you grant in the Health app. WeightGlide never sends them anywhere by itself — it has no servers and makes no network requests at all. They can leave your phone only inside a file you export and share yourself; see "Your export rights" below.
- No analytics, no ads, no tracking. WeightGlide contains no analytics SDKs, no advertising, and collects no telemetry.
- Diagnostics are manual only. The "Report a problem" screen builds a report (app version, device model, iOS version, settings without weights, entry counters, a local log excerpt) only when you tap it, and it is sent only by you, through the share sheet, to a destination you choose. The optional anonymized data export never includes your notes.
- Purchases. The one-time Pro unlock and tips are processed by Apple through the App Store. WeightGlide sees only whether the purchase is active — never your payment details.
- Your export rights. The complete history can be exported at any time as CSV or a full JSON backup. A backup is a copy of your log, so it contains the days that came from Apple Health along with the identifier linking each of them to its sample there — that link is what lets a restore reconnect them. Where such a file goes is entirely yours to decide: the app only hands it to the iOS share sheet. Deleting the app deletes all local data (Health samples remain in Apple Health, under your control).
